How to Get Involved?
There are many different way you can help out with both or either Middle and High school. If you are interested, please email David Mink for more details.
- Drivers: Need parents willing to drive kids to various events throughout the year.
- Dinners: Please sign up to provide dinner for the full youth group.
- Adult Leaders: We are always looking for adults who love Jesus, like kids, and want to be a part of helping them grow with Christ.
- Student Leadership Team: This is for all interested High School students.
Youth Activities
PCN Youth on Facebook
The go-to place to get weekly updates on our youth programs and events. Be sure to follow us so that you can receive regular updates.
Social Activities
Fun activities are spread out throughout the year. We have had pool parties, an adventure at a corn maze, Christmas parties, a trip to the Marin County Fair, a messy games night, movie nights, and caroling to homebound church members. These social activities are a great opportunity to grow our youth group community by inviting friends to come and have fun.
Mission Activities
Our middle through high school youth programs help our youth grow in their faith through service to others. Both middle and high schoolers are involved in several annual fund-raising events, such as Rise Against Hunger and the 30-Hour Famine. The youth group also tries to do at least one service project per month. In November we participated in Operation Christmas Child and this December we are collecting gifts for the 2020 Holiday Share. Our high schoolers are challenged to put their faith into action by participating in annual mission trips where they may repair or rebuild homes for needy families or help with other vital service projects. The 2020 Mission Trip remained local and assisted with single day service projects for Westminster Woods, Gilead House, Redwood Empire Food, Bank, the local church, and North Marin Community Services.
Parent Information Nights /Open House
Each Fall, PCN hosts a Youth and Children’s Ministry Open House. In 2019 this featured guest speaker Andrew Weiher, a Behaviorist for Novato Union School District. Parents, staff, and teaching volunteers attended both the main speaker session and a follow-up discussion session. This year it was a little different, we had our Open House via Zoom. TWIG: Trusting Wholly in God
Every year, P.C.N.'s youth program, JAMAA, puts on a weekend-long, student-led retreat for high schoolers called L.O.G. (Love of God). This year due to COVID restrictions and safety protocols, we will be hosting T.W.I.G. (Trusting Wholly in God) on February 27th. This retreat will be led by Dylan Eshoff and Wyatt Kinney with the help of the Youth Leadership Team. Prepare for a full day of worship, praise, and growing in your relationship with God and one another!
